FAQ

The central mission of WUFPAC is to encourage young women to get involved at all levels of the political system. Here are 10 simple things you can do to bring young women to politics:

1. Join WUFPAC!
We need you to help us change the face of politics.

2. Tell 5 of your friends about WUFPAC and help us spread the word.
It's like that old shampoo commercial…

3. Tell us about the young women in your state who are running for public office.
We want to know about the young women who are involved in politics in your community. We regularly feature women in state and local government as our "Woman of the Month" on our webpage.

4. Write a check to WUFPAC.
One of the biggest challenges young women candidates face is fundraising. Your financial support can have a real impact on their success. And it's so easy! You can find links to all the WUFPAC candidates on our website. Every little bit counts!

5. Write a check to a WUFPAC candidate.
Women are more likely to make contributions to charity than men, but are less likely to make contributions to political campaigns.

6. Register to vote.
While rates of volunteerism among young women are the highest they have been since the 1960s, young women are still less likely to vote than older women and men. Take the future into your own hands and VOTE!

7. Take your children with you when you go to vote.
When kids go with their parents to vote, they are more likely to vote when they grow up.

8. Volunteer to help with a campaign or your local party.
Candidates for public office, and especially young women candidates, depend on volunteers. Most campaigns would not succeed without them. Your help, no matter how little, is invaluable.

9. Encourage a young woman in your life to run for office.
The good news is that women are just as likely as men to consider running for office when they are encouraged by friends, family, or community leaders. The bad news is that women are less likely to be encouraged to run for office than men in the first place.

10. Run for office yourself!
